Screening Systems

The CBI Prescreener is a low-maintenance, high-production means of separating dirt and abrasive fines out of all types of fed material. It is a reliable machine due to its rugged, simplistic design. The open-top design allows the operator to feed in large volumes of brush, stumps, C&D, yard waste, grass, bark, bulky or irregular material without binding or clogging.

Used in front of a CBI Grizzly Mill or Magnum Force the CBI Prescreener reduces the amount of component wear on the grinder and increases productivity. Whether used as a stand-alone unit or feeding a grinder, this prescreener will reliably deliver the tonnage needed to keep a high production grinder working at full capacity.

This system is designed to remove abrasive fines prior to grinding, as well as, provide a picking station for contaminants that cannot be mechanically removed. The CBI Prescreener is available in stationary or portable models, with either diesel or electric drive. The Prescreener separates feed material into three fractions:

• Fines
• Ferrous metals
• Overs ready for processing

TAPER-SLOT® Screen This TAPER-SLOT® Screen is commonly utilized for the classification of bulky materials. The TAPER-SLOT® Screen performs where other screens fail. VIBRA-SNAP® Screen The powerful snapping of screen sections generates a trampoline-like material movement - accelerating, separating, and dispersing particles to allow smaller particles to reach the screen surface and pass through freely. The DENSE-OUT® Cost-effective and suitable for removing “heavies” such as rocks, bricks, metals, glass, ice lumps, nuts & bolts, etc., from less dense materials. The DENSE-OUT® Vibratory AIR Separator integrates the advantages of vibratory technology and controlled air. Star Screener Star screens can be used when processing high-moisture compost, decomposed bark, mulch, peat etc. Depending on your product, star screens can help to emiminate binding inherent in high-moisture materials. With stars mounted on closely-spaced parallel shafts, material is conveyed upwards when the shafts rotate. The star points separate the fines from the larger material. The fines pass through the stars and the overs are conveyed past the end of the screener.
